What an inspiring way to mark the start International Women’s Day! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us this morning for such an uplifting event. Your presence, energy and generosity truly embodied this year’s theme: Give to Gain.

We were honoured to hear from three exceptional women - Emma Neville , Jane Shepherdson CBE and Victoria Price who shared their experiences with honesty, insight and encouragement. Their reflections on leadership, resilience and purpose reminded us that when women support women, incredible things happen.Since 2015, we have supported over 6,000 women. In 2025, 64% of clients moved into employment shortly after receiving support. Yet the need for our service has never been clearer.

On average, women apply for 43 jobs before seeking help - and one in three apply for more than 50. Repeated rejection can take a real toll on confidence. By donating, fundraising, volunteering or partnering with Smart Works Greater Manchester, you can help ensure that every woman who needs support receives the confidence, coaching and clothing she deserves. To everyone who attended and helped make the event possible, thank you. Your support enables us to continue dressing, coaching and championing women across Greater Manchester as they take crucial steps towards employment and financial independence.

Thank you to:

🔹 Our event sponsors N Brown Group - we’re so grateful for your support. Their partnership plays a vital role in enabling our work and demonstrates a shared commitment to empowering women across Greater Manchester Andrea Tarpey

‍🔹 THE ALAN for hosting us in this fantastic venue

🔹Hotal, Total Hospitality for kindly contributing to the wonderful breakfast provided for our guests

🔹 WillPowders for the generously donated goodie bags

Thank you for celebrating International Women’s Day with Smart Works Greater Manchester!
