March 2025 marks a milestone moment for Smart Works – the end of our three year plan where we hope to meet our target of supporting 10,000 women over the year. For many women, getting a job is a lifeline. It is a chance to escape poverty, gain financial stability and restore confidence. In the wake of the cost-of-living crisis, the need for our service has never been more pronounced.

We're creating change and want you to join us - will you Step Up for Smart Works? Your support and vital donations will make a huge difference to our work – providing real support to unemployed women across the UK.

The challenge is simple: walk 10,000 steps a day, every day, for the month of March. 10,000 steps a day works out approximately 130 miles over the month, which is roughly the distance around our great region. Join us to Step Up this March and do your part to #accelerateaction this International Women's Day.

• Sign up in a team (maximum 5 people, but NO minimum) or go solo!
• Raise £200 each/£1000 per team of 5.
• You can have as many teams as you like within the one company. Why not compete against each other and see who can raise the most?
• Join the VIP club and opt for a fundraising target of £400 or above. Enjoy the benefit of exclusive merch and rewards.
• Remember, it’s 310,000 steps across the month of March, and however you complete this is up to you. You could organise a team walk on International Women’s Day to clock up some steps, or you could make it even more of a challenge by running instead of walking!
