The women we support at Smart Works Greater Manchester come to see us from all over the city.
For unemployed women looking for work – our clients receive advice and guidance, support to translate lived experience into core competencies for applications, creating a CV/cover letter/introduction emails. This service helps women feel positive about their next steps, prior to securing an interview and can complement other employment support they may be receiving.
For unemployed women with a confirmed interview – our clients receive a complete outfit of clothes and accessories, theirs to keep, and we provide one-to-one preparation training so they feel more confident and start believing in their own ability to succeed.
Our services and support can be transformative.
All of our Smart Works service delivery is provided by our team of over 40 highly skilled, fully trained volunteers.
We are incredibly proud to report that of the clients we are able to contact throughout the year, 69% have gone on to succeed at their job interview!
Smart Works Greater Manchester were delighted to win: ‘Best Not-for-Profit’ at the Stockport Business Awards 2019, ‘Small Charity Big Impact’ and ‘Trustee of the Year’ at the North West Charity Awards 2017.
